Bikies,
We're ready to widen the promotion of the University Bicycle Resource Center.
See Dar's email below for upcoming events, or visit:
http://www.transportation.wisc.edu/transportation/bike_annex.aspx

Also, if you haven't noticed yet, new high density bicycle parking racks are
starting to pop up around campus. We hope that these racks will help us to meet
high bicycle parking demand in tight corners.
And there are now FIVE air/repair stations across campus (outside of UBRC in
Lot 6, Eagle Heights Community Center, Lakeshore Dorms-right off the Lakeshore
Path, 21 N. Park St, and WARF). These stations provide an air pump/compressor
and a basic set of tools. Some locations also have repair stands to make your
work easier.
Thanks,

Subject: Univ Bicycle Resource Center Update

Happy spring! Just a reminder that the University Bicycle Resource Center
(UBRC) is open and we are ready for your visit. Spring open shop hours are
Mon/Tues/Fri 4-8pm, Wed 4:30-8pm and Thurs 9am-1pm. Stop on by!

We also have a few remaining free events this spring. All events are at the
UBRC unless noted otherwise:

*       Monday, April 14, 2014, 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Spring Kickoff Party.
It's been a long hard winter. Stop by the shop to celebrate spring with pizza
and soda! Free Planet Bike light set to the first 5 attendees. We Are All
Mechanics will be on hand to teach a free class on how to change a front wheel
flat.

*       Wednesday, May 14, 2014, Noon - 1:00 p.m. ABC Quick Check. Learn the
basic mechanical safety check that every bicyclist should know. We Are All
Mechanics guides you through a full system check of your bicycle that you can
do in just a few minutes, every time you ride. Uncover mechanical problems
before they become dangerous. Bring your bike or look on with a classmate. Free
Planet Bike light set to the first 5 attendees. Bring a brown bag lunch!

* We will also be venturing out into the wild to provide bicycling
information at the University Apartments Bike Festival 5/3 from 9-11am; at the
Business School Earth Day events (including a lecture on bicycling Thurs, April
24th, 12:30-1:30pm, check with Business School for location); and at UW Health
Bike to Work week lunchtime events May 5-15 at Clinical Science Center,
Administrative Office Building, S Park St, Digestive Health Center, American
Family Children's Hospital and University Station (check in with UW Health
Wellness for exact times and dates at each location).

As always, you can get updates on these and other UBRC goings on at
http://www.transportation.wisc.edu/transportation/bike_annex.aspx

In other bike news, if you haven't noticed yet, new high density bicycle
parking racks are starting to pop up around campus. We hope that these racks
will help us to meet high bicycle parking demand in tight corners. We're also
happy to let folks know that there are now FIVE air/repair stations across
campus (outside of UBRC in Lot 6, Eagle Heights Community Center, Lakeshore
Dorms, 21 N. Park St, and WARF). These stations provide an air pump/compressor
and a basic set of tools. Some locations also have repair stands to make your
work easier.

Hope you are getting out riding in this great weather and that we will see you
at the shop some time.
