Looking for something different to do this weekend? You might want to check
out the Para cycling national championships being held in the area.

Para cycling involves racing bikes with special adaptations to account for
someone's different ability. Those with limited vision will pair up with a
sighted person on a tandem. Those who can't move their legs will power
themselves with their hands and arms. Some ride specially designed tricycle
that look nothing like the clunkers with baskets. This video gives you an over
view. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-TPPfiTS9nQ

The time trials will be on a course between Waterloo and Marshall on Friday
while the road race will be near Rockdale on Saturday. The Crit will be on the
Square on Sunday. Note that the crit is for people who ride standard looking
bikes that might have some modifications.

Check out the website below for more information about the races.
