Thought I would pass on the invitation below to anyone who might either be
in the area tomorrow or would like to make a special trip to the Capitol in
support of better transportation priorities.

I can't make it, but it sounds like they are going to have a good group.

*WHAT:* Last week, WISDOT Secretary Mark Gottlieb refused to
hear community concerns over a proposed double-decker expansion of I-94
from 16th to 70th Streets and over the lack of state support for local road
repair at a town hall meeting in Milwaukee. In response, dozens of
Milwaukeeans are busing to the State Capitol tomorrow, and will be joined
by residents of cities and towns fighting other highways expansions across
Wisconsin, to call on Governor Walker to stop wasteful highway spending,
and fix local roads and infrastructure instead. Community members are
unhappy that the Governor is talking about new taxes, not the real
transportation needs facing Milwaukee and communities statewide.
