Any idea who to contact, or how to check for a stolen bike? I'm sure inventorying those bikes is a daunting task. We had one stolen a few years ago that appeared to have been taken by a pro. (Quick work, even took the lock & chain with him so he'd look legit.) The chances of my bike still being in his inventory are minuscule, but still...

The bikes had probably been stolen over a number of years. So if you had a bike swiped, it may be worth your time to contact the Madison police about it.
