Please read entire email for important details about upcoming traffic
impacts. Good afternoon,
Starting at 10 p.m. Wednesday (July 22), all westbound and
eastbound Beltline traffic, between Verona Road (US 18/151) and
Fish Hatchery Road, will be detoured as crews install one of the
steel arch structures for the new pedestrian bridge between
Seminole Highway and Verona Road. The Beltline will reopen at 5
a.m. Thursday (July 23). A signed detour route will use
Verona Road, County PD (McKee Road) and Fish Hatchery Road.
Also, nighttime single lane closures will occur on Wednesday
on the westbound and eastbound Beltline, between Verona Road and
Fish Hatchery Road, starting at 8 p.m. with the full closure at
10 p.m. Wednesday.
The following ramps will be closed from 10 p.m. Wednesday to
5 a.m. Thursday (see map): Whitney Way
to eastbound Beltline Fish Hatchery Road to
westbound Beltline Todd Drive to westbound Beltline
All other ramps in the area will be open,
including the Verona Road ramp to the eastbound Beltline,
Seminole Highway on ramp and the Todd Drive ramp to the eastbound
Beltline.
Backups and delays are likely in the area. Motorists are advised
to plan ahead and use alternate routes.
Crews continue to construct the new pedestrian bridge over the
Beltline, as part of the Verona Road Project improvements.
Pedestrians and bicyclists should continue to follow the signed
sidewalk detour route on the Beltline frontage road,
Seminole Highway and Warwick Way. The new overpass is anticipated
to be completed in early September 2015.
The Beltline closure is weather dependent and subject to change.
