Where: THIS MONTH ONLY: FB4K, 167 East Badger Road (see directions below) Hello to the bicycle/equity committee, The 4th Thursday of the month is upon us, which means it's time for our monthly bicycle/equity committee meeting. We wanted to take the opportunity to do something a little different this month: meeting at Free Bikes 4 Kidz! AND - if you can, please dress to volunteer, and after our 3-4pm meeting, please stay till 6pm to clean bikes! As you know, we're in the middle of the Free Bikes 4 Kidz "soft launch" pilot campaign. We've collected about 500 bikes, and now we're wrenching, cleaning and prepping them for giveaway. The giveaway date is set for March 29th at the Boys & Girls Club. I'm excited that this bicycle/equity committee has helped inspire and launch an initiative where we're actually DOING something - we really made the leap from being a discussion group to incubating an important project that will make a difference for the bicycling/equity mission we care about.
