No. I do mean mean motorized. Under existing state law bicycles with electric motors are defined as motor bicycles and they are prohibited from being used with motors engaged on all bike ways. Bikeways are defined in the statutes to include all designated bike paths and lanes and this is the policy that exists for all municipalities, including Madison, Maple Bluff, Fitchburg and Middleton. S. 346.79(5) declares " No person may ride a moped or *motor bicycle* with the power unit in operation upon a bicycle way." This is where the upcoming debate will center. If anyone wants all of the statutory references, which have to be read together, I'll be happy to provide them.

Motorized? I think what you mean is e-assist. Motorized would make Bcycles a moped or motorcycle. I don't work for Trek and I don't know of their plans, but I'm near certain that they won't be getting into the moped/motorcycle business anytime soon. Bcycle or otherwise.

It is kind of a shallow survey, but it's nice to see there's
enough interest to even do it. Might lead to bigger and better things.

Word is the fleet of BCYLES may be headed toward being
motorized. Legislation is being prepared to allow that to happen.

I started doing this survey, but it is so poorly designed, the
answer I would put for the questions were almost never there,
        i.e., since I don't use B-Cycle, whatever that is, I couldn't
say "never" to the question of how often do I use it?

Earlier this year I was fined $1221 by the city for having
wildflowers in my terrace and a burning bush in my yard.
My trial occurred more than three months after the city
council unanimously approved the "Pollinator Protection Task
Force" report which seeks to protect pollinators--bees,
butterflies, moths, bats, hummingbirds, etc., and preserve
pollinator habitat But the city's Building Inspection
Division didn't get the "memo" and continues to order
pollinator habitat removed and prosecutes people who don't
comply. If you feel the ordinances on the books should be
        amended, sign my petition:
