change bincimap.conf? Also, I have no problem logging into the mail server

When trying to connect locally on the server maching I get the following
error

# openssl s_client -connect localhost:993 -crlf
CONNECTED(00000003)
write:error=104
Does that make sence to anybody?

What do the logs say? If they don't say anything, could you do an strace
and post the results to this list?

Here is the tail of /var/opt/log/bincimap/current:

It looks like you are missing the private key in "/usr/share/ssl/cert.pem". Mind you, I have seen this message more often when the certificate is missing. Do you have both? You need both in the same file to fix the problem.

I am afraid that I am not able to provide you with a strace, as I couldn't get
strace-4.4 to compile on the mail server (RH 8.0). I rarely venture outside
KDevelop, so I don't know why it bailed out. Perhaps I downloaded the the
wrong version? Anyway, I can have another go if necessary. Last time I had
problems with SSL I bought a book. I seems I will have to read it as
well.....

Thanks for the quick response. Rumour have it that you had gone on holyday.

Sigmund.
