[binc] Unable to aquire mailbox scan lock ./bincimap-scan-lock, Permission denied

Howdy.  [Apologies for the resend, should have gone to binc, not 
binc-dev...]

I have been getting these logs:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]@127.0.0.1:] Unable to aquire mailbox scan lock 
./bincimap-scan-lock, Permission denied
[EMAIL PROTECTED]@127.0.0.1:] Failed to release mailbox scan lock 
./bincimap-scan-lock, No such file or directory

It's unclear to me where binc is trying to create the 
bincimap-scan-lock file.  It is able to create the cache and 
uidvalidity files without problem.

My account is set up with a Maildir:
