Seems you can do a clean move to Binc IMAP. You can run it alongside your POP3 server without problems. If all is as you say, you should only have to edit the two run scripts, replacing checkpassword with your checkpoppasswd. Make sure checkpoppasswd doesn't reset the environment :-).
