Hi, It looks like I sent my first reply off list, sorry about that. Since writing it, I've played around with offlineimap and I think I've managed to reproduce the problem. I think it's downloading an (invalid) email from the source server with no newlines in it. Offlineimap handles this badly and uploads an even worse email to the destination server, which it can't find when it searches for it, causing it to quit with an error. I've managed to hack the debian package of offlineimap into working, but I want to get the latest copy of the source before posting any patches.
So, it looks like there's nothing wrong in bincimap, but it would be nice to know how the invalid email ended up on you computer in the first place. Although, I could be wrong about this. If you send a protocol dump from the source server it would help. I'll send a patch for offlineimap later today or tomorrow. And if that is really the problem, we can take this to the offlineimap list. Daniel
