Ok; here are dumps (last 200 lines) of binc1.2.7beta4(unmodified) acting
as a client.  The server is binc1.2.6final(unmodified).
Offlineimap 4.0.0(unmodified).  Got 19Mb of mails with that setup.

Im now doing the same test with Offlineimap 4.0.0 patched as suggested by Daniel. Got 26 Mb and still running. Fingers cross.
