Okay, sorry for not writing back earlier, I did mean to.... I got it to compile. When playing with some funky Jabber transports a year or so back I installed gcc 3.2.0 on the system, which apparently borked some includes somewhere. I wiped all that crap off and reinstalled gcc, glibc (including headers), and a few other miscellaneous packages and sure enough, binc compiled. Oddly enough, binc is the only thing that wouldn't compile for me. Rob
