This is definitely not a Maildir++ depot.

How come this works on the new server, but not the old?
Becuase on the new server i have everthing in bincimap set to IMAPdir and have postfix delivering to /IMAPdir/INBOX/ this configuration works well.
I wish to replicate it on my old server but do not want to just change everyones Maildir to IMAPdir because they will lose all there messages.
On the old server i have depot type set to IMAPdir and the other two setting to Maildir like the docs suggest and have postfix delivering to /Maildir/INBOX

This can be done without without must difficulty and without losing mail:
1. Shutdown postfix & Binc
2. For every user
a. rm Maildir/INBOX
b. mkdir Maildir/INBOX
c. cd Maildir; mv tmp new cur INBOX/
d. mv Maildir IMAPdir
3. Change postfix mail delivery instructions to
deliver to IMAPdir/INBOX
4. Change Binc path from Maildir to IMAPdir
5. Restart postfix & Binc
Note that additional work is required if users have individual delivery instructions.
