The log message is a bit too direct on the cause of the problem. What
happens is that one IMAP client can't grab the mailbox lock after waiting
for two seconds. If you want, you could edit maildir-scan.cc at the top,
and increase this polling timeout a bit to see if the error returns.

If it's a crash, you should be able to find a core file in the mail
depository. If cores are switched off, setting "ulimit -c unlimited" in
the run files may be helpful.
