Nice work. I will try this with the development releases in a near future.
but at least with the newer stable releases of binc you can use the
qmail-ldap included auth_pop ;-) I haven't got auth_pop to work with the
development releases

When I looked over qmail-ldap I had the impression that UID en GID
couldn't be retrieved from the directory. Now I see that I am wrong, but
still you have to edit the source to make it happen.
I don't know about the uid and gid. I'm running a virtual setup all
running under the same user. I can use stock qmail-ldap auth_pop for
binc. But I beleive that auth_pop also honor the uid gid in the ldap or
else it would nok work with users having their maildirs in their home?
Another point is that I use Postfix and not qmail. My package system
would give me a hard time if I would like to install both.
That is a good point ;-)
