That's a very good point. The server side end of the agreement seemed
to be done before I could open the activity window. I watched it start
to download the attachments again. But otherwise the activity for
munging things around seemed to be entirely local.

One minor point... Apple Mail hides latency from the user via
extensive threading. If you bring up the Activity window, you can see
what it's really doing in the background, and how long it takes.
