identity of syllables

[Tomasz Osiejuk]

Does anybody know about  papers or unpublished data which show that "the 
same" in shape in sonogram syllables in fact differ significantly between 
males? I'm especially interested in studies on passerines with small 
repertoire size, which is shared by neighbours.
