I am looking for any advice or suggestions regarding portable hard disk
recorders, specifically the new high sampling rate models by Fostex (FD-2) and
Sound Device (722 or 744T). These will be used to record ambient sounds
during
controlled exposure experiments with cetaceans. Has anyone used them in the
field yet, particularly with marine applications, and is aware of any hassles
or conveniences?

Additionally, if anyone has experience with any other comparable hard disk
recorders, their advice would be greatly appreciated.

Please stay tuned for a summary of the responses that I receive.

Thanks in advance,
Anna Nousek
