Dear colleague,
It is my pleasure to wish you a prosperous year and inform about the progress
in organising the 16th International Congress on Sound and Vibration (ICSV16),
which will be held in Krakow, Poland, 5-9 July 2009.
The final deadline for abstract submission is 31 January 2009.
By Friday, 9 January 2009, 519 users have been registered and 489 abstracts
have been submitted.
For the scientific programme, 45 Structured Sessions and 56 congress topics covering all areas of acoustics, noise, speech and vibration are planned.
An attractive social programme is prepared including a large number of optional tours.
Such data are very promising. I believe that ICSV16 will be a premier world
event of such type with about 1 000 participants from about 60 countries.
I would like to thank you if you have already submitted an abstract or abstracts.
Otherwise, I am cordially inviting you to take the opportunity to join the scientific community and submit an abstract or abstracts by 31 January 2009.
The congress website at www.icsv16.org is continously updated. Now, the List of Authors menu has been offered, where any visitor can check names of the registered users, titles of the abstracts and the sessions to which the abstracts have been submitted.
Any visitor may also monitor the number of registered users and the number of submitted abstracts.
Names of organisations involved in organising the congress, names of supporting
scientific societies, keynote lectures, additional scientific events,
description of Structured Sessions, details on tours and accommodation,
information about Krakow as well as a lot of other information is available at
www.icsv16.org.
With best regards,
Marek Pawelczyk
ICSV16 Chair
