Hi Martin and Dan,

Thanks for your help. Although we do not have any errors in building Rsubead on 
our linux machine, I have incorporated all the changes you suggested into 
Rsubread. I tested it on our machine and it worked fine. I have just committed 
the changes to the devel svn repository and the latest Rsubread version is 
1.9.7. Hope it now works on george2.

The version of R I'm using is R3.0.0rc r62427.
