Hi everyone Instats <http://instats.org> is seeking to offer a range Bioconductor courses running anywhere from 1 - 5 days in length, and we are currently searching for a facilitator or facilitators for these.
Instats (the Institute for Statistical and Data Science) partners with leading researchers, universities, and professional associations -- including the American Statistical Association -- to offer research methods training through livestreamed and on-demand workshops to a global audience. One nice feature of Instats is that we are all researchers ourselves, so we never seek to own our partners' IP and we are happy for our partners to offer free or fee-based courses (for any fee-based courses we share all revenue equitably). We also believe in academic freedom, so you can offer the content you want, in the format you prefer, and do it on your schedule. After a livestreamed course, we are able to host the content for on-demand access for streaming across the globe, and we are happy to allow all of your institution’s students and researchers free access to any of your fee-based content. This would allow you to use Instats as a free research training platform internally, while generating revenue whenever such content sells outside your institution, if you'd like this option. If you have a PhD and would like to have a chat about facilitating a Bioconductor course, it would be great to meet for a quick chat.
