MapProfileShort is just a toy like example, it's actually a small part of a
real mappability profile.
We had to make it smaller for the package, so what you are reporting is
probably normal.
We are in the process of generating mappability profiles for a bunch of
genomes, everything will be posted on our wiki
(wiki.rglab.org<http://wiki.rglab.org>).

Dear Raphael Gottardo,

I happened to come across your recent manuscript “PICS – Probabilistic
Inference for ChIPseq” and downloaded the R package and data accompanying the
paper. Looking at the data in the MapProfileShort file, I noticed that the
regions for chr13, chr14, chr15, chr21 and chr22 were identical. I am not sure
if this is deliberate or not, I suspect that there may be an error in this
file. I thought I would alert you to this potential problem before your paper
comes out in Biometrics (congratulations by the way).

   Best wishes, Tim Lu
