Thank you, Mark and Richard - Yes, it's IE, and I think it's renaming them as I download. I can force the new name to be .jar, and Eclipse is now happy. I think another problem was involved when I earlier tried renaming to .jar; too many things too new all at once. It's up and running now; thanks!
