This looks pretty cool. Do you want me to role it into CVS or put it up on the cookbook as an example? I'm out of the office for a couple of weeks so I'll do it when I get home (my VPN doesn't like CVS for some reason).
Presumably only a minor adjustment would get you a smith-waterman as well?
