Speaking for the BioJava 1.x series, yes, that is in maintenance mode now. https://github.com/biojava/biojava-legacy <https://github.com/biojava/biojava-legacy> We'll keep cutting new 1.9.x point releases for security fixes and dependency updates as necessary. BioJava proper (5.4.0+) keeps plugging along; I'll let someone else chime in on that.
