Birders,
Trees away from the lake have flowering catkins, and
many birds are feeding high in the tops. I found the
following in Essex County:

ERCA Railtrail - Vesper Sparrow around 3k marker.
                 Pine Warbler around 3k marker.

Holiday Beach - Yellow Warbler
                Pine Warbler

Ojibway Nature/Tallgrass - Purple Finch
                           Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
                           House Wren

Directions: For ERCA railtrail drive south on Walker
Road in Windsor past Provincial Road to highway 3.
Turn left at highway 3 and go 200 meters to the
parking lot.
Exit 401 at highway 77 and drive south to Leamington.
Turn right at county road 20 and drive west to Malden
Centre. At Malden Centre left at county road 50 and
go 2k south. Holiday Beach is on your right.
For Ojibway Nature Centre, drive west on the E.C. Row
Expressway in Windsor. Turn left at Matchette Road
and drive 600 meters. Ojibway Nature Centre is on your
right. Park in the lot, and exit through the front
gate. Follow the bike trail 800 meters and Tallgrass
is on your left.

Good birding,
