Birding was washed out in early morning by east winds and heavy rains but when it cleared later on, a good variety of warblers appeared including BLACK-THROATED BLUES, many BALTIMORE and ORCHARD ORIOLES, and several WARBLING VIREOS.
Yesterday afternoon, a flock of 60 BLACK-BELLIED PLOVERS and 110 LESSSER GOLDEN PLOVERS was found on Henderson Road. The WILLETS reported yesterday were not present today. ----------------------------------------- Cumulative May total for Pelee Island: 125 species ----------------------------------------- There will be daily bird hikes on Pelee Island until at least May 20.
