Alfred Adamo and myself just had excellent views of the eurasian collared
dove at 11:25 a.m. this morning, Thursday, May 8th. It was still there when
we left at 11:55 a.m. This is the bird that has been reported these last
few days. It landed on the Roman Catholic Church Rectory chimney and we
first discovered it on the north side of Hwy. #2 on the chimney of the blue
house just east of the Church. It also perched for an extended period on
the transformer on the telephone pole across from the church.
Take the 401 to the Marysville exit, 20 minutes east of Belleville, go south
to Hwy#2 and then turn right (west) and you will quickly come to the church.
Alfred had been there at 9a.m and the bird showed up at 11:25.
