birders:

It was a great day of birding at long point today, after the thundershowers
stopped in the early morning. Highlights included:

Inner Bay etc.
SANDHILL CRANES- Big Creek Wildlife area (breeding)
BLACK-BILLED CUCKOO- (1) old cut
BALD EAGLE- pair breeding at Big Creek, (1) at Long Point Provincial Park
PEREGRINE FALCON- (1) Long Point Provincial Park

Bay)

Cape-may Warblers- Long Point Provincial Park, Old Cut
    Hooded Warbler- Old Cut
    Mourning Warbler- Old Cut
Golden-winged Warbler- Long Point Provincial Park

We had over 80 species of birds by Noon, I believe it would have been easy
to break 130 species if you were doing a "Big Day".
Radio reports from the banding lab at the Tip said that area was Over-Run with
birds, but we did not hear any specific highlights.

Good Birding ,
