Apologies for the tardiness of this report. I was in the middle of doing my
Baille Birdathon Saturday evening when I found the Ruff. I had never seen
one before this. What a beautiful bird! Thanks to Mark Gawn for helping me
to be sure what I was looking at.

It was with Wilson Phalaropes and Lesser Yellowlegs in the middle cell of
those closest to the road. It was foraging along the shore closest to the
road, mostly between the pine tree and the maintenance shed that is by the
western-most gate.

Directions to Embrum Sewage Lagoons

>From Ottawa head east on the 417 and exit at #79 which is marked
Limoges/Embrum. This is Regional Road 5. Head south on #5 until you
come to Regional Road #3 also called Notre Dame Street. Turn right
(west) and travel 2.8 kilometres to St Joseph Street. Turn left (south)
and continue to Route 400. Turn left (east) on 400 and drive about 1
kilometre. Lagoons are on your left (north) side of the road.

Cheers, Eve
