Observations: After a brief period at the boat launch, a switch to Point Mouillee was made where all observations were made. Much of the flight was low although spread over a rather broad front. A considerable flight was recorded considering the late date and perhaps a function of such poor migrating conditions over the last week. A dark-morph adult once again highlighted the Red-tail movement. An additional highlight early in the day was the all too brief look at two Short-eared Owls. These birds were perhaps flushed from a roosting area along the marsh by a hunter and only stayed in view a few seconds before disappearing behind a tree line. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Calvin Brennan ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) SMRR- Lake Erie Metropark information may be found at: http://www.smrr.net/ The primary site used by Southeastern Michigan Raptor Research (SMRR) is the Boat Launch at Lake Erie Metropark located approximately 20 miles south of Detroit, Michigan.
