Ross Snider and Terry Ricker called to report a Snowy Owl on the east break wall at Port Stanley, first seen at 1:15 p.m. today.

Port Stanley is on Lake Erie in central Elgin County at the mouth of Kettle Creek, about 10 minutes south of St. Thomas. Take Highway 4 south from St. Thomas which becomes Colborne in Port Stanley. At the only lights in the village continue straight through to access the east side of the harbour. Alternately, turn right at the lights and then left on Carlow or William to get other lookouts over the harbour. If the Snowy Owl isn't on one of the break walls check the top of the various oil tanks on either side of the harbour. In the past when Snowy Owls show up at Port Stanley they have been seen perched on these tanks.
