Hi birders, This morning I checked out my bird count area on south point trail in Rondeau Park. I noted quite a few Common Redpolls flying around, as well as a few Siskins. There was one flock of 20 Redpolls, and two or three groups of a few flying around. I also had one Am. Robin, and later, 4 Field Sparrows were at the parking lot at the end of Lakeshore Road. About 20 Purple Finches were in a group at the north end of the park campground. Very few ducks on the Bay. I did note a pair of Shovelers off Rondeau Park dock. One first year Northern Shrike was in Shrewsbury. A Little Gull has been frequenting Erieau Harbour. One flock of about 30 Redpolls was on Craford Rd. N. just east of Cedar Springs.
