Subject: KINGSTON -LEMOINE POINT GREAT HORNED OWLS
From: Paul <winedinedivine9(AT)hotmail.com>
Date: 28 Dec 03

Finally located a pair of Great Horned owls, observation started at 4:50 pm
until 5:30 pm before they flew off. The larger one which was facing me had
the distinctive white throat bib, both had tufted ears. The smaller of the
2, possible a female was sitting with its back to me.

Direction's: From the 401 follow the signs for the airport. Drive past the
airport until you reach the end and take a right which will lead you to the
parking area. Once going through the gate go right and take the wide clear
path north through the field. About a 100 meters or so take the clear path
that splits the field heading west. Once you start to approach the bushes on
the left side of this trail, pick a spot and check the large dead trees in
the immediate area just before dark.
