This afternoon I watched 4 Wild Turkeys feeding on the ground under several
feeders put up by the Ottawa Duck Club on March Valley Rd near Riddell Dr.
There appeared to be 2 males and 2 females, judging by both size and a
subtle change in plumage and head colour (reddish). 1 of these burds had
found that by jumping up and hitting a silo feeder from time to time, seeds
would drop on the ground and everyone could eat!

This location is on the west side of town, along the perimeter of the
Connaught Firing Range. Riddell runs off of Dunrobin Rd just at the turnoff
from March Rd.

Cheers, Eve
