I spent a good 2 hours this morning looking for the Townsend Solitaire with
no luck at all. The only birds we saw were Bluejays, Chickadees and
Cardinals. Other birds seen on Conc. roads in Bruce County were numerous
Horned Larks not in large numbers though, Snow Buntings, a couple of
Rough-Legged Hawks, 4 Red-Tailed Hawks and a Snowy Owl.
>From County Rd. 15 in Inverhuron take Victoria St. north to Caley St. and
park where the road narrows to one lane and walk towards the lake checking
the pines and cedars along the road edge.
