SANDHILL CRANE in flight over Hillman Marsh today at the shorebird impoundment, it traveled from north to south and flew over towards the onion fields where we lost sight of it. This occurred at about noonish. About a 1/2 hour later a flock of about 8 WHIMBREL arrived and sat in the back "pond" area by the green houses, they appeared to be resting more so than foraging. Also seen at the same location; SEMI PALMATED SANDPIPER, SEMI PALMATED PLOVER, LEAST SANDPIPER, DUNLIN, DOWITHCHERS, BONAPARTE'S, TERN'S, SHOVELLERS, COOTS and gaggles of geese.
