I saw and heard a clay-coloured sparrow today around noon in the little parkette on the south side of Sandalwood Pkwy., just west of Heart Lake Rd. (410) in Brampton. It sat out in the open on a bush beside the path, quite near the parking lot, for several minutes. The Wilson's Plover was actively feeding at daybreak in the same location as yesterday. Viewed by me and later by Mark Cranford . I left the area a 6:30am. / tac "Directions: from the QEW from Toronto take the Eastport Drive exit in Burlington at the lakeshore and follow Eastport Drive across the Bay and watch for the bermed in ponds. The south easterly pond that is landfilled in has a major puddle and it is where the birds were."
