Just an update on the Eurasian Collared Dove in London:
This bird is definitely an Eurasian Collared Dove. Unfortunately, there is
a reason why I am so sure. While taking photos, I was able to get very
close to the bird. So close in fact, I was feeding it out of my hand. My
Aunt called me (she lives down the street from me) and said my Uncle had
been doing the same a few days earlier. She said the bird has a pink band
with the number 52 on it. The blue border around the black Collar is very
evident, but this bird appears to be an escapee.
I am very sorry for misleading anybody.
