Winds were light from the west with temps around 50 degrees F. Observations: Only 3 Red-tailed Hawks were seen during the count today. Given the poor weather during the past few days, this came as quite a shock. The few observers assembled were expecting a bit more. It never materialized. Independent observers doing a census at the Game Area reported 8 Cave Swallows. They were not, unfortunately, seen by the counters, who were at the Park. Predictions: Many were suprised by the lack of movement. Maybe "today's birds" will move tomorrow?
