Teh Burk's Falls CBC was held on Thursday, December 15. The day was windy
but no snow until the count was over.
A total of 35 speicies and 2348 individuals were recported at the count
wrap-up.
Highlights were
39 Mallard -- tied for highest number ever
2 Bald Eagle (both adults)
20 Downy and 42 Hairy Woodpecker -- both above average
1051 Black-capped Chickadee -- 3rd highest
3 White-throated Sparrows -- at three different feeder -- only third time on
count
1 Red-winged Blackbird -- only 5th time on count
1 Common Grackle
