While doing the SPNC Christmas Count I found the Pine Warbler that was
reported earlier in Shell Park. The bird was foraging in vines fairly high
above the ground. From the parking area cross the bridge and pass by the
garden plots and continue to where the pipeline makes a 90 degree right
turn.
Other good birds in the area this morning were a Red-bellied Woodpecker and
a Brown Creeper. These were in Bronte Woods. To get there follow the
pipeline north. Bronte Woods is the woodlot on the right.
Directions: Exit the QEW at Bronte Road and go south, turn right at
Lakeshore Road. Shell Park is on the right about 1 km to the west.
