While helping us with the Lake Ontario Waterfowl count today Dave Brewer found a male Barrow's Golden Eye close to the shore of Lake Ontario today. The bird was seen from the open area at the foot of Fruitland Ave. in BURLINGTON (not Stoney Creek) looking toward the Bronte area.
Fruitland Ave. in BURLINGTON is off Lakeshore Rd. a few streets past Sioux Lookout Park on the Walkers Line side. I found a Vesper Sparrow while driving downhill on Lake Line, after turning left off Scotch Line. I saw it both up the hill and down, and on both sides of the road, from #37614 - the house that the OFO Hawk Cliff FT usually visit with Pete Read on their way to the Port Stanley lagoons on Scotch Line (sorry!! - I do not remember the owner's name).
