Winds were light to moderate and for the most part, out of the west. Raptor Observations: The hawk flight was overall a bit slow but certainly an improvement over yesterday. Highlighting the day was the seasons first Peregrine Falcon with perhaps the same individual making several stoops on prey over Gibraltar during the latter stages of the count. Non-raptor Observations: A small number of Common Nighthawks were noted migrating south today. Small numbers of Lesser Yellowlegs have been moving through the last several days with some stopping to feed on the floating weed beds along the channel edge.
