While at Van Wagerns Beach in Hamilton over the noon hour today, myself
and several others had looks at Sabine's Gulls and Black-legged
Kittiwakes in the strong easterly winds. We had a close in pass of a
juvenile Sabine's at about 12:35. Most other views were farther out
with a group of four Sabine's ealier before noon by others. Also a
close in juvenile Kittiwake just after 12:00, and other more distant
views of possibly the same bird. No jaegers yet today.

On Sunday, I along with several others had 2 or 3 Long-tailed Jaegers at
Van Wagners Beach shortly after noon. At one point, two immature birds
were high overhead of the beach. We also had them farther out chasing a
Sabine's Gull. Earlier in the morning, another birder had a juvenile
Sabine's Gull fly over the beach and inland. We also had a juvenile
Lesser Black-backed Gull in close. (Sorry for the late post on these,
but I did not have email access yesterday and hoped others would post.)
