This afternoon at 3pm there was a single Greater Snow Goose amongst a flock of Canada Geese. It was found on Innisfil Beach Road about 1 1/2 Km East of Hwy 11 on the South Side. There is a Red Barn near the Road and the Goose was in a Corn Stubble Field to the West of that. This is just east of a Nursery and tree Farm(Spring Tree Farm).

Weather: Again the day started out with NW winds but stronger than the previous day...and temp was to a high of 19C. Wind got variable at midday which slowed the flight...but the cloud cover was excellent for the whole day. Raptor Observations: A nice flight today with a total of 910 birds tallied of 12 different species. Highlights included a couple of Peregrines (1 nice adult right overhead), a few more AK's and 10 Red-shouldered Hawks. Of note we've yet to see a Golden Eagle. Non-raptor Observations: Predictions: The next few days are predicted to bring VERY STRONG winds from W and SW. If the rain was to move off then it may be worth a look for more Peregrines along the cliff...but it's getting a bit late for them. We need to see a strong NW or NE wind once all of this inclement weather moves out. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Dave Brown ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) Hawk Cliff Hawkwatch information may be found at: http://www.ezlink.on.ca/~thebrowns/HawkCliff/index.htm Site Description: Hawk Cliff Hawkwatch: Oldest Hawkwatch in Ontario - since 1931 - located just east of Port Stanley on the cliff overlooking Lake Erie Directions to site: >From east 401, take the Highbury south cut off at London, follow Highbury (Hwy 30) south to St. Thomas.
