Observation end time: 13:00:00
Total observation time: 2.5 hours

Official Counter: Claude Radley

Observers:

Weather:
Overcast with light drizzle and occasional light rain showers. Southerly
winds and reduced visibility.

Raptor Observations:
Only seven raptors were seen today and six of them did not qualify for the
count. An adult Red-shouldered was roosting in the picnic area. The
local Bald Eagles, two adults and one juvenile, were patrolling the beach.
A first year Sharp-shinned was hunting Yellow-rumped Warblers around the
tower and he was briefly visited by the "local" Peregrine. The Peregrine
made a couple of passes at the Sharpy before heading over to the trout
pond to harass a very indignant Kingfisher. The Peregrine was again seen,
on my way out, roosting on the roof of the beach hawk blind, awaiting Jason
I presume. The only bird that headed west was another juvenile
Sharp-shinned.

Non-raptor Observations:
Other avian observations: Yellow-rumped Warblers, Eastern Phoebes,
Ruby-crowned Kinglets, Goldern-crowned Kinglets, Tree Swallows, Red-winged
Blackbirds, Common Grackles, American Robins, White-crowned and
White-throated Sparrows, Brown Creeper, Red and White-breasted Nuthatch,
Downy Woodpecker, Northern Flickers, Belted Kingfisher, Killdeer,
Blue-winged Teal, Mallards, Wood Ducks, Northern Pintails, Mute Swans,
Pied-billed Grebes, Bonaparte's Gulls and Great Blue Herons.

Predictions:
Variable cloud in the morning, overcast in the afternoon. Warm with
morning lows near 8 and highs near 16C. Light to moderate Southwesterlies.
Should be a good day for TVs and Red-tailed.
