Hey Everyone,

This evening (1715) at the Bird Studies Canada Headquarters in Port Rowan I had
a 'light-rumpd swallow' fly overhead with three Tree. My impression is that it
was a Cliff but I could not be sure. Just thought I'd get everyone excited
about the possibility that 'Cave's' could be around.

Good Birding,

Stu

Observation start time: 08:00:00
Observation end time: 16:00:00
Total observation time: 8 hours

Official Counter: Cindy Isenhoff

Observers: Dan Lumm, Jim McCoy, Martha Derbowka

Visitors:
We had some of our "usual" out-of-town company today....the trio from
Tennesse, Phylis Cuble, Jeanece Seals, and Theresa Lindsey. Also present
were John and Lisa from Indiana. Special thanks to all for the help
keeping up during the busy times of the day.

Weather:
"Crisp" would be the description of the day. Clear skies, cool
temperatures, and moderate westerly winds prevailed. By afternoon the
winds has some southerly component, but temps never went above 13 degrees
C, even with all the sunshine.

Raptor Observations:
Some GREAT birds today for those who braved the wind and cold. We had 3
Immature Golden Eagles...one below the tower height for at least 5 minutes
"hunting" the marsh. We had 3 Goshawks...two adults, with a nice view of a
low bird. We also had an amazing mostly albino Red Tailed Hawk in a mixed
kettle that confused everyone for a couple of minutes.

Non-raptor Observations:
The nicest non-raptor siting of the day was 2 American Bitterns that took
flight from the marsh after a group of people walked the trail around the
trout pond this morning. American Crows were on the move in large numbers
as well today.

Predictions:
>From the forcast looks like Monday will be a repeat of today...good luck to
all for some great sitings.
