The Yellow-throated Warbler reported by Don Shanahan last week is still visiting the feeders at 163 Evergreen Lane on a regular basis according to the property owner. We saw the bird several times between 10:00 am and 10:30 am this morning. As this is a congested residential, birders are asked to use common sense when parking. The feeders are easily seen from the road. Directions: Go south through Brighton (young St. becomes Prince Edward St.) to County Rd. 64 which veers to the left. Go past the Brighton water cleansing lagoons and proceed on County Rd. 64 until the Murray Canal Bridge after which you make an immediate right turn onto Barcovan Beach Rd. After approximately 1km, make a right turn onto Stoney Point Rd. South which turns left and then, after about 2km, turns right at the junction with Cedarvale Rd. Continue on Stoney Point Rd. for another 2km and turn left onto Shoal Point Rd. As you approach the lake you will see Evergreen Lane on your right. No 163 is on the south-west corner at this intersection. Saw a mature Snowy Owl at 3:30pm today on Rushmore just east of Eagleson Road. Owl was sitting in field on south side of Rushmore (right side if entering Rushmore from Eagleson) - after a few minutes it flew and landed in the top of a large elm tree on opposite side of road. Directions: Queensway, exit at Eagleson, south on Eagleson, cross Fallowfield and turn left onto Rushmore about 2-3 km past Fallowfield Road. The farmer does not like people to enter his field there.
